SUMMARY:National Trails Weekend with Work Party and Epic Rides
DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate National Trail Day with a weekend of fun at Big South Fork!!! We’ll camp at the group campsite\, work with the Big South Fork Bike Club\, and Ride BIKES! \nThe Details: \nCAMP\nGroup site E1 at Bandy Creek Campground is reserved!!! First come\, first serve camping. There are no hookups\, but plenty of sites to choose from and all are an easy stroll to the campfire\, pavilion\, and bathhouse. We have the site reserved from Friday afternoon – Monday morning. \nWORK\nWe’ll meet at the Bandy Creek Visitors Center at 8:30\, Our good friends with the Big South Fork Bike Club will have our work projects ready and AMBC will have all the tools you’ll need for the day. You bing a friend\, sturdy shoes\, safety glasses\, and water! At noon we’ll meet back at Bandy Creek for Lunch and Beers. \nEAT\nSaturday lunch is provided by Joe and his crew with the Big South Fork Bike Club. Saturday Evening AMBC will host dinner at the group site pavilion! \nRIDE\nPost workday social rides are organized based on what various groups are interested in. Remember Big South Fork is home to an IMBA Epic ride route. Sunday social rides are encouraged and this year AMBC Joy Ride will lead a women’s only ride please register for the the ride HERE. THE EPIC ride is also a Sunday option. The ride is one of legend\, a ride that typically takes everything you can muster plus a bit more. Rarely repeated\, uphills both ways and always a backcountry adventure\, it’ll be EPIC. Those who are prepared for 30 miles of self supported riding in the summer heat are gonna love it.

DESCRIPTION:Ijams and Appalachian Mountain Bike Club invite you to another year of Big Fun Tuesdays (BFT) at Mead’s Quarry! These events happen every first Tuesday from May-October. BFT is a night to hang with your friends\, hit the trails on your mountain bike or on foot\, rent a paddleboard or kayak from River Sports Outfitters\, or simply enjoy great local music! This month features one of Knoxville’s finest: Steph Cabell! \n  \nMay is National Bike Month\, so BFT will feature community partners including Bike Walk Knoxville\, Kickstand Community Bike Shop\, Legacy Parks Foundation\, I Bike KNX and more with giveaways\,  great information\, and some short bike videos that will start closer to dark! If you’ve ever wanted to get involved in the bike community in Knoxville\, this is a great event for you! \n  \nTanasi the Foothills Food Truck and the Ijams beer garden will be open for food/drink needs. This is a FREE event for all ages. Grab your friends and family\, and come to the quarry for fresh air and fun!  \n  \nNo registration required. \n  \nNOTE: Big Fun Tuesdays are weather-dependent and may be canceled due to rain.
