DESCRIPTION:Come out and help us get the trails ready for Fall Fest at Baker Creek for our monthly Work Party on Saturday\, October 3rd from 9am-12pm! Lunch will be provided at noon\, and Creature Comforts will be hooking us up with cold beverages. \nAs usual\, AMBC will provide the tools — just come prepared to work with sturdy shoes\, gloves\, safety glasses\, and water. Families with kids are welcome. If you haven’t already\, please sign AMBC’s 2026 Waiver before the event. \nThank you to our sponsors and volunteers! \nWork Parties are the best opportunity for AMBC friends and trail users of all kinds to volunteer on the trails. We hold regular Work Parties on the first Saturday morning of most months. Join us anytime — no sign up necessary!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun\, low-pressure group ride at Meads Quarry! AMBC’s Social Ride is a great way to connect with other mountain bikers and get comfortable on the trails. Everyone is welcome!! \nMeet at 5:30 at just between the parking lot and Meads Quarry\, and ride at 6:00! Rides are usually around 1.5 hours and average 5-7 miles. No drop; no one gets left behind! Complete our 2026 waiver before you ride. \nPlease note: We will not ride if it is raining or if the trails are wet — check the trail conditions here. We may pivot to a greenway ride\, so keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook for day-of updates. \nSocial Ride is every 1st Tuesday at Meads Quarry and every 3rd Tuesday at Baker Creek from spring through fall\, unless otherwise noted. We’d love to see you on the trails! \n*Parking at Ijams (including the Meads Quarry lots) requires an Ijams membership with a parking pass or a one-time parking pass of $5/day that can be purchased in the parking lot.

SUMMARY:Urban Wilderness 50K & 10K Trail Race
DESCRIPTION:The Urban Wilderness 50k and 10k is a brand new trail race that will take place on October 10\, 2026. \nThe 50k race will start at 7:30 am that morning\, while the 10k begins a little later at 9 am. The 50k course is a true tour of the Urban Wilderness; a counterclockwise loop starting at the UW Gateway park that takes runners through 7 different parks and other natural areas. With roughly 3\,400 ft of gain and well maintained trails\, it’s sure to be a fast one. It has a 10 hour cutoff time and 5 aid stations to support runners along the way. \nThe 10k has the same starting line\, and features a tough figure 8 loop that takes runners to the top of View Park for views of the Chilhowee Mountain and the Smokies in the distance. It has 1 aid station along the way\, and is sure to be a blast. \nThe 50k costs $86.50 while the 10k costs $40\, and the signups can be found at https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=139047.
