DESCRIPTION:The Hill of Truth Festival started as a 12 hour mountain bike race at Haw Ridge park in 1999. The race\, known as the 12 Hours of the Hill of Truth (or HOT for short) immediately found itself the staple annual event for the local mountain biking community. The event has become more than a race\, but a way for the community to gather and bond together.  \n“The heart of the HOT race was always getting people together around a camp fire and sharing stories\, no matter the background or age of the people around the campfire. The race is great and all\, but it’s really the people and the atmosphere that make the HOT so memorable.”

This helps us ensure we have enough volunteers and supplies. \nJoy Ride is here to help women feel comfortable in the woods. No one gets left behind\, and everyone leaves with a big smile. We make sure every rider is comfortable with the group’s pace and that no section of trail is beyond the ability level of the group. We have options for all beginner skill levels\, so come party on single track with us!! \nPlease bring your helmet\, shoes\, ride snacks\, water\, and a way to carry it on your ride! Bring a spare tube if you have one. PLEASE arrive before 9:30 AM for sign-in! DESCRIPTION:The infamous Dirty Dozen race\, created in Pittsburgh\, is returning to Knoxville! Find the Facebook event here.\n– $100 cash prize for first place– Beer\, merch\, and gift card prizes for 2nd\, 3rd\, and anyone who completes all 12 hills.-$10 entry fee-Early Registration is encouraged. Please register here.\n\nThis is an incredibly unique race because it combines a casual group ride with a grueling race. We will start meet Crafty (Emory Place) at 9am and start the ride at 10am sharp at a casual no drop pace. Periodically\, we will cross paths with a one of the many noteworthy hills in Knoxville an announcement will be made that points are on the line. When we reach the bottom of the climb the race is on!\nMake it to the top first to receive 10pts\, 2nd = 9pts\, 3rd = 8pts\, and so on… The riders will regroup at the top of each hill and the casual ride to the next will continue. There will be an amp-you-up music bike\, a cheering section on one particular hill\, and lots of trash talk in between each challenge.\nAt the end of the day the points will be tallied and a champion will be crowned!Strava will make things much easier for judging and is recommended but not required.Join us for a one-of-a-kind race as we continue this new tradition in Knoxville!

The team with the highest score and the quickest time wins! \nThe event starts and ends at Schulz Bräu in North Knoxville. SUMMARY:Annual Big South Fork "Mail Run"
DESCRIPTION:Every New Year’s Day the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area and the Big South Fork Bike Club invite all mountain bikers to ride the annual Big South Fork “Mail Run” event. Bikers meet at Bandy Creek Visitor Center at 10:00 AM (ET)\, January 1\, and then hit the trails. The ride is traditionally called the Mail Run because the event occurs each year no matter what the weather has in store. \nThe Mail Run consists of a choice of rides varying anywhere from 8-35 miles so bikers can pick the group ride of a length they are most comfortable with. Hot chocolate and coffee will be available at Bandy Creek Visitor Center before the rides starts. Find the event page and contact here.

SUMMARY:Trail Blazers Spring 2026 Registration Opens
DESCRIPTION:Trail Blazers is an 8-week program for 3rd–5th graders that blends on and off-bike games\, trail exploration\, and mentorship. It’s not about racing — it’s about building confidence\, friendships\, and a lifelong love of the outdoors. Each session emphasizes play and connection while building real-world bike skills. \nTrail Blazers is growing! We will operate programs at BOTH Baker Creek Preserve (South Knox) and Concord Park (West Knox) in the spring of 2026. Both programs will run from 5-7 pm on Tuesdays from March 24 through May 12. DESCRIPTION:This is the first year of this winter cyclocross race series – find more info and register here. \n“Be prepared for a challenging\, off-road\, cyclocross course.  It’s going to have it all. Rain or shine or sleet or snow we’ll be out there. All races will take place in Morning Side Park. You’ve got to wear an approved bicycle helmet while on your bike. \nThe B Race is for first time cyclocross racers or those who approach racing with a casual demeanor.  You’re here for fun and you know it.  If you win\, you’ll get to stand upon a podium and there may be cool prizes. \nThe A Race is for people who like to push it and for experienced cyclocross racers.  A bike racers category.  They’ll get to stand on a podium after each race and there will be a cash prize for the series winner. \nThe race is located in the lower half of Morning Side Park in Knoxville\, TN. Park at the CITYSCAPE office/other stuff development at 900 E Hill Ave\, Knoxville\, TN 37915.”
