Join us for a FUN day on technical terrain\, conquering roots\, rocks and AWESOME trails in Vee Hollow. \nGrab a friend or make some new ones at this free event for female\, female-identifying and non-binary riders. This ride is intended to help women feel more comfortable on intermediate-level terrain in Vee Hollow. No one gets left behind\, and everyone leaves with a big smile. \nVee Hollow has some of the most unique trails in Townsend\, and we want to show them to you. Our Vee Hollow route is rated as intermediate. There are no mandatory gaps or drops\, but this trail does require an intermediate rider skillset and comfortability with rocks\, roots\, bridges\, and techy descents. The total distance is around 7-10 miles. \nWe need you to bring: Mountain Bike\, Helmet\, Shoes\, Water\, Snacks \nThis event is free\, but please register by September 7th. This helps us ensure we have enough volunteers and supplies. \nRide Leaders & Ride Sweeps are needed! \nWe are always looking for ride leaders and sweeps to help with the ride in Hastie in a fun and safe manner. Fountain City Pedaler will be providing lunch\, so get excited! \nJoy Ride is here to help women feel comfortable in the woods. No one gets left behind\, and everyone leaves with a big smile. We make sure every rider is comfortable with the group’s pace and that no section of trail is beyond the ability level of the group. We have options for all skill levels\, so come party on single track with us!! Après Ride swimming is encouraged! \nBring your helmet\, shoes\, ride snacks\, water\, and a way to carry it on your ride! You don’t have to be an advanced rider to volunteer; just be confident at the level you choose in the follow-up form. \nRiding Levels \nNew Rider: I’m entirely new to mountain biking\, or I’ve attempted a couple of rides but would love to receive a little coaching. You will get on the dirt\, get comfortable with your bike\, gear\, and learn some basic mountain biking skills. \nDistance: Under 5 miles \nBeginner: I’m relatively new to mtb. I like it and want to learn about how to be comfortable on varied terrain with more technical features. \nDistance: 5- 7 miles \nBeginner Plus: I’m comfortable on green and most blue trails. I’m venturing out onto harder trails\, but still have to walk some of the more technical features. \nDistance: Under 10 miles \nIntermediate: I am a confident rider and can ride my bike on technical terrain. I’m fine with roots and rocks\, comfortable on blue trails and ready for new challenge. \nDistance: 10 – 15 miles \nAdvanced: Let us know what you’re into! Want to hit the jump trails or get your miles in? We’ve got you covered. \nVolunteer: I’m a confident rider. I know the trails well\, and I’d love to help out as a ride leader or sweep! There will be a separate form for you to list your volunteer preferences.
