Grab a friend or make some new ones at this event for female\, female-identifying\, and non-binary riders 18 years and older. \nIf you are new to mountain biking\, looking to feel more comfortable on dirt\, or just want to try out new trails with a fun group\, this ride is for you! Plus\, after riding we will be sticking around for our own post-ride yoga over at Climbing Roots! \nThis event is free\, but please register and complete your 2026 AMBC Waiver by Thursday\, March 5th. This helps us ensure we have enough volunteers and supplies. \nJoy Ride is here to help women feel comfortable in the woods. No one gets left behind\, and everyone leaves with a big smile. We make sure every rider is comfortable with the group’s pace and that no section of trail is beyond the ability level of the group. We have options for all beginner skill levels\, so come party on single track with us! \nBring your helmet\, shoes\, ride snacks\, water\, a spare tube if you have one\, and a way to carry it on your ride. Please arrive at 1:00 PM for sign-in!  \n— \nJoy Ride Full Event Schedule \n1:00 – 1:15 PM \n\nSign in\nMix and mingle with the other attendees\n\n1:15 – 1:30 PM \n\nAnnouncements\nMeet your ride leaders\n\n1:30 – 3:00 PM \nRide and have fun!\n \n3:00 PM \nJoin us after the ride for yoga at Climbing Roots! \n4:00 PM \nThank Climbing Roots\, your ride leaders\, sweeps\, and fellow riders for such a fun day! \nRide leaders needed! \nWe are always looking for ride leaders and sweeps to lead our ride groups in a fun and safe manner. If you are a confident rider with a genuine interest in sharing your love of the sport and knowledge of the trails\, please select “volunteer” in the ticket option below. You don’t have to be an advanced rider to volunteer; just be confident at the level you choose in the follow-up form. \nRiding Levels \nNew Rider: I’m entirely new to mountain biking\, or I’ve attempted a couple of rides but would love to receive a little coaching. You will get on the dirt\, get comfortable with your bike\, gear\, and learn some basic mountain biking skills. Distance: Under 5 miles \nBeginner: I’m relatively new to mtb. I like it and want to learn about how to be comfortable on varied terrain with more technical features. Distance: 5 – 7 miles \nBeginner Plus: I’m comfortable on green and most blue trails. I’m venturing out onto harder trails\, but still have to walk some of the more technical features. Distance: Under 10 miles \nVolunteer: I’m a confident rider. I know the trails well\, and I’d love to help out as a ride leader or sweep! There will be a separate form for you to list your volunteer preferences. You don’t have to be an advanced rider to volunteer; just be confident at the level you choose in the volunteer form. \n*Rides are subject to change based on weather and group consensus. DESCRIPTION:AMBC’s Social Ride on March 17th has been canceled due to cold\, wet weather. See you on April 7th at Meads Quarry! \nJoin us for a fun\, low-pressure group ride at Baker Creek! AMBC’s Social Ride is a great way to connect with other mountain bikers and get comfortable on the trails. Everyone is welcome!! \nMeet at 5:30 at Baker Creek Pavilion (1530 Taylor Rd) and ride at 6:00! Rides are usually around 1.5 hours and average 5-7 miles. No drop; no one gets left behind! Complete our 2026 waiver before you ride. \nPlease note: We will not ride if it is raining or if the trails are wet — check the trail conditions here. We may pivot to a greenway ride\, so keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook for day-of updates. \nSocial Ride is every 1st Tuesday at Meads Quarry and every 3rd Tuesday at Baker Creek from spring through fall\, unless otherwise noted. We’d love to see you on the trails!
