We make sure every rider is comfortable with the group’s pace and that no section of trail is beyond the ability level of the group. You will get on the dirt\, get comfortable with your bike\, gear\, and learn some basic mountain biking skills. \nDistance: Under 5 miles \nBeginner: I’m relatively new to mtb. I like it and want to learn about how to be comfortable on varied terrain with more technical features. \nDistance: 5- 7 miles \nVolunteer: I’m a confident rider. I know the trails well\, and I’d love to help out as a ride leader or sweep! There will be a separate form for you to list your volunteer preferences. This takeover is intended to help women feel more comfortable on one of Knoxville’s more advanced trails. Devil’s Racetrack is rated as Black Diamond. There are no mandatory gaps or drops\, but this trail does require an intermediate rider skillset.\nShuttles will be provided by AMBC from 2:00pm – 5:00pm\nIf this is your first time down Devil’s Racetrack\, Joy Ride will be leading a First Lap Ride at 2:30pm. SUMMARY:Spring Joy Ride
DESCRIPTION:This event is free\, but register by March 31st. This helps us ensure we have enough volunteers and supplies.\nWe will not have demo bikes available the day of the event but Harper’s Bike Shop has a couple you can reserve in advance. Please call them to make arrangements. Other local bike shops might do the same.\nOur rides are pressure-free and worry-free. We make sure every rider is comfortable with the group’s pace and that no section of trail is beyond the ability level of the group. E-bike are welcome.
