Ijams Weed Wrangle – I.C. King!

February 24 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Come out and help Ijams Nature Center keep our pollinators pollinating. From Ijams:

I.C. King is a Knox County Park with miles of trail available thanks to the hard work of AMBC!  The BLOOM subcommittee of Knox County Parks and Recreation has identified this site as a potential for native pollinators!  This Weed Wrangle will be a step in that direction! Please register at:

Each year since 2020, Ijams has coordinated Weed Wrangle Knoxville, a local effort that is part of a nationwide event to build awareness of the threat non-native invasive plants pose to our ecosystem. In addition to building awareness, this event is about putting boots on the ground and tackling this problem throughout our community. Weed Wrangle Knoxville rescues public parks and green spaces from invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines and flowering plants. Volunteers are needed.
