Outlandish Adventure Festival 2026

We’re stoked for this year’s Outlandish Adventure Festival from May 1st through May 2nd! We’re leading several group rides from Meads Quarry and will be set up for all-day fun on Saturday, May 2nd. There’s something for everyone (even if you’re not a rider — there will be paddling, running, hiking, kids activities, and more adventures)!

Plus, we’re launching something special at Outlandish for both new members and current members… stay tuned!!

Kids & Youth Social Mountain Bike Ride

Saturday, May 2nd at 12:30 pm

Let’s ride! Kids and youth from 2nd grade through high school are invited to join AMBC Trail Blazers, Appalachian Youth Cycling, and Little Bellas for a social mountain bike ride on Saturday, May 2nd at 12:30 pm. Trail Blazers, AYC, and Little Bellas volunteers will lead groups on this fun ride for kids and youth of all skill levels. We’ll be back by 2 pm to watch the Highline Demo over the quarry!

Meet at the AMBC tent at Meads Quarry – arrive early and be ready to park and walk (it will be BUSY).

What to bring:

  • Mountain bike or bike with knobby tires (1.75″+) and hand brakes (required!)
  • Helmet
  • Water (and a way to carry it on the ride)
  • Closed-toe shoes (not Crocs)
  • Rain jacket (as needed)

AMBC Social Ride

Saturday, May 2nd at 9 am

Join us for a fun, co-ed group mountain bike ride at Meads Quarry at 9 am on Saturday, May 2nd! AMBC’s Social Ride is a great way to connect with other mountain bikers and get comfortable on the trails. The ride will be around 1.5 hours so you can get back to watch the Whip Off at 11! Everyone is welcome, and no one gets left behind! 

What to bring:

  • Mountain bike
  • Helmet 
  • Water

AMBC Joy Ride

Saturday, May 2nd at 9 am

Get on the trails with other ladies at AMBC’s Joy Ride at 9 am on Saturday, May 2nd! Joy Ride creates a welcoming, non-intimidating environment for women and non-binary riders. We’ll split into groups based on experience and make sure everyone has a great time on the trails! Rides will be tailored for Beginner and Beginner Plus riders. 

What to bring:

  • Mountain bike
  • Helmet 
  • Water
