Urban Wilderness 50K & 10K Trail Race

The Urban Wilderness 50k and 10k is a brand new trail race that will take place on October 10, 2026.

The 50k race will start at 7:30 am that morning, while the 10k begins a little later at 9 am. The 50k course is a true tour of the Urban Wilderness; a counterclockwise loop starting at the UW Gateway park that takes runners through 7 different parks and other natural areas. With roughly 3,400 ft of gain and well maintained trails, it’s sure to be a fast one. It has a 10 hour cutoff time and 5 aid stations to support runners along the way.

The 10k has the same starting line, and features a tough figure 8 loop that takes runners to the top of View Park for views of the Chilhowee Mountain and the Smokies in the distance. It has 1 aid station along the way, and is sure to be a blast.

Knox Bike Racing – Wednesday Series

Knox Bike Racing‘s Wednesday Night MTB Race Series features 10 cross-country mountain bike races held across multiple trail systems in the Knoxville, TN area. Race categories start a few minutes apart, and scoring is handled through Webscorer, providing live results and individual lap times. This series is not USAC-sanctioned, so no racing license is required.

RACE TIMES: All categories must be staged at the start line by 6:10 PM. Expert racers will start at 6:15 PM, with remaining categories released at intervals of a few minutes to spread out the field.

The # of laps required for each category is listed below:

  • Juniors 11 & Under – 1 lap
  • Juniors 12-14 – 1 lap (Baker Creek will be 2 laps)
  • Juniors 15-18 and Beginner – 2 laps (Baker Creek will be 3 laps)
  • E-Bike, Single Speed, Sport Men and Women – 3 laps (Baker Creek will be 4 laps)
  • Expert – 4 laps (Baker Creek will be 5 laps)

Knoxville Winter Cyclocross Series

“Be prepared for a challenging, off-road, cyclocross course.  It’s going to have it all. Rain or shine or sleet or snow we’ll be out there. All races will take place in Morning Side Park. You’ve got to wear an approved bicycle helmet while on your bike.

The B Race is for first time cyclocross racers or those who approach racing with a casual demeanor.  You’re here for fun and you know it.  If you win, you’ll get to stand upon a podium and there may be cool prizes.

The A Race is for people who like to push it and for experienced cyclocross racers.  A bike racers category.  They’ll get to stand on a podium after each race and there will be a cash prize for the series winner.
