Please welcome the newest member of our Trail Crew, Charlie, serving with us through AmeriCorps! Charlie is our fourth Trail Crew member, working with Dave, Warren, and Jessica. His first couple weeks on the job have been busy — Wilderness First Aid training, cutting trees, trimming trails, plenty of learning the ropes, and now jumping straight into Fall Fest prep.

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Charlie graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Sustainable Development and has called Knoxville home for the past two years. After spending some time behind a desk, he was ready to take his work outside.

“I’ve enjoyed exploring all the trails around Knoxville and loved the idea of getting to work on them every day.”

When he’s not working on the trails, there’s a good chance you’ll still find Charlie outside — trail running, hiking, skiing, or golfing.
