Trail Blazers Registration is OPEN!

It’s time to register your kiddos for our Fall 2026 Trail Blazers season!

Trail Blazers is an 8-week program for 3rd–5th graders that blends on and off-bike games, trail exploration, and mentorship. Sessions will be 5 to 7 pm every Tuesday from Sep 8 through Nov 3 (except Oct 6). We’re offering the program at Baker Creek and Concord, and we expect to have full programs at both locations — so be sure to sign up ASAP!

Want to get $15 off Trail Blazers registration? Get an AMBC Family Membership at AMBCKnox.org/Join, and be sure to download the SORBA app to access all member benefits including our Trail Blazers discount. (One discount per family.) Do this before you register for Trail Blazers to get the discount!

We don’t want anyone to miss out on Trail Blazers. If your family needs financial assistance or gear assistance for the program, please email [email protected] to discuss your family’s needs.

We also need volunteers to help our programs run smoothly! Volunteering with Trail Blazers is an absolute BLAST and gives you the opportunity to share the love of trails and mountain biking with some of our youngest trail users! Register to volunteer here.

Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.

Thank you to Leslie Kehmeier (The Wide Eyed World) for all of our Trail Blazers photography.

National Trails Weekend at Big South Fork

Every year we celebrate National Trails Day for an entire weekend at Big South Fork! Join AMCB and BSF Bike Club this year from June 5-7 for volunteer trail work, group rides, free food, and a great time with friends! ALL ARE WELCOME!!!

Camp: We have reserved Group Camp E1 at Bandy Creek Campground in Big South Fork from Friday afternoon (2 pm) to Monday (noon). Camping is on a first come, first served basis. There are no hookups, but plenty of sites to choose from, and all are a leisurely stroll to the campfire, pavilion, and bathhouse.

Work: We’ll meet at the Bandy Creek Visitors Center at 9am EST, our good friends with the Big South Fork Bike Club will have our work projects ready, and AMBC will have all the tools you’ll need for the day. Bring a friend, sturdy shoes, safety glasses, and water! At noon we’ll meet back at Bandy Creek for lunch and drinks.

Eat:

  • Saturday lunch: Following our Saturday Work Party, lunch will be provided by the Big South Fork Bike Club.
  • Saturday dinner: We’ll have a potluck Saturday night at the group site pavilion! Tennessee Valley Bicycles will provide the protein/main, and everyone else should bring a side for 10 to share with the group. BYO plate, utensils, etc. for dinner!
  • All other meals will be on your own.
  • If you’re going on the EPIC ride, you’ll want to pack a lunch or bring $20 for refreshments at Charit Creek Lodge.

Ride: We’ll offer several ride opportunities this weekend!

  • Social Ride — Saturday afternoon. Casual co-ed ride; all are welcome!
  • Joy Ride — Sunday at 10 am. Women’s ride for Beginner through Intermediate Riders – sign up here!

KKB’s South Knoxville Community Cleanup

Join Keep Knoxville Beautiful at the South Knoxville Community Cleanup (SKCC) 2026. On Saturday, April 18th from 9am to 12pm, dozens of volunteers will be picking up litter throughout South Knoxville.

At the SKCC 2025, 310 volunteers picked up over 7,800 lbs of litter in just 3 hours! This event is a great way to participate in a larger effort to keep Knoxville clean, green, and beautiful!

Meet at Chapman Square at 4409 Chapman Hwy. We will be removing litter from South Knoxville roads, creeks, and parks. Participants of any age are welcome! We look forward to seeing those who live, work, or play in South Knoxville – as well as anyone who wants to lend a helping hand. There are four options for cleanup:

  • Sign up as a group with 5+ people to be assigned or to request an area for South Knox cleanup
  • Litter Cleanup at Chapman Square

  • Creek Cleanup at Goose Creek at Mary Vestal Park

  • Invasive Removal with Ijams at Community Unity Park in Montgomery Village

Be sure to sign up before Sunday, April 12th at 11:59 PM.
