Baker Creek Preserve acts as the gateway to Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness. With 5 multi-use trails and 3 purpose built bicycle specific downhill trails the park has a trail for everyone!
- First Timer: Take some laps on Sycamore loop, a one mile loop that is mostly flat, then venture up Red Bud Crest and finish your ride cruising down Floyd Fox!
- When to Ride: Baker Creek dries generally a day before the rest of the Urban Wilderness, remember if you leave a rut or clay sticks to your tires it’s not a good day to ride these trails.
- Wet Weather: Red Bud Crest is the wet weather route to access Marie Myers Park, home of the Year Round Get Down trails, a series of all weather bicycle specific downhill trails. Not into that, then stick to the asphalt of the Baker Creek Bike Park!
